All of our efforts come down to a few words – we want to help Restore Ukraine (UA). From handling logistics and shipping containers of food & supplies across the world, to procuring life saving medication, or providing a family a safe place to sleep for the night, it all matters. Together with individuals, families, friend groups, businesses, churches, community organizations, Restore UA exists to make it easy for people who want to help (but maybe don’t know how) to collectively counter the devastation of war and help Restore Ukraine. I lived in Ukraine for 13 years. Now, I am the owner of a shipping and logistics company in California. When the war started, and with it the need for humanitarian aid, my relationships and experience in Ukraine converged with my current profession. I spend my time canvassing needs from people I know in Ukraine and finding ways to get them a solution fast. I also coordinate partnerships in the US with donors and other organizations that have aid to give to Ukraine but may not know how to get it there or who to give it to. I am a project manager for commercial construction. I joined Jake at the start of the war in February helping with evacuations and refugee housing / transport. The long term need to help Ukraine was clear to me and I felt called to continued engagement. So, upon my return to the US, at the end of March, I worked with my employer to shift to a remote employment agreement. In April 2022 I moved from California to Poland. I manage our Poland warehouse, winterization initiatives, shipping and receiving, logistics, deliveries from Poland to our in-country distribution partners and I am generally available to wash the dishes as needed anywhere in this part of the world. Boots on the ground a stone’s throw from where anywhere I need to be. I am a Ukrainian from a city north of our capitol, Kyiv. I worked for a publishing company that brought good books to Ukrainians and worked to translate great works into our beautiful language. I fled to Poland in the early days of the war with the help of my long-time friend, Jake Knotts. Together, along with other friends, we have founded this non-profit and together, we are working for the good of the Ukrainian people. I work on managing our in-country partnerships with other organizations, administration of our aid requisition requests, as well as our network of aid distribution drivers. I am an accountant and ran my own firm in California at the start of the war. My wife and I were very grieved by all that was happening in Ukraine and decided that we were going to be in this for the long haul. So together with the rest of the team we joined to found Restore UA. I serve as treasurer for the organization. Feed a country and millions of people in need. Gather together and fill containers with goods. Contact us and get your supplies straight to UA. We’ve purchased several vans, loaded them with 1,000s of liters of fuel, and sent them into Ukraine. With a mix of volunteer and hired drivers, the vans are being used to evacuate and transport people from besieged areas of the country to safety. We’ve received large donations of urgent medicines – Apidra, Humalog, Novorapid, Actrapid, Lantus, Toujeo, Levemir, Humulin, Tresiba – and medical aid trauma kits, hospital supplies. We are carrying out cold chain logistics and distribution to hospitals, communities, and families in need. We have organized short-term housing for hundreds of refugees through a mixture of AirBnB’s, apartments, hotels, and gracious host families. We’re connecting with families and churches all over Europe to organize long-term accommodations. We’re connecting individuals, communities, organizations, and churches in the U.S. to join in filling shipping containers of food and supplies. (We provide containers and shipping logistics.) When the containers are shipped, Restore UA receives them at our Krakow, Poland warehouse and distributes the supplies to communities in Ukraine who are most in need. About Us
