Minesweepers

More than 2,000,000 Ukrainian people are living in areas with mine exposure – a “mine” is an explosive bomb placed below the surface of ground or water that detonates when disturbed by any person, vehicle, or ship.

The war in Ukraine has resulted in hundreds of thousands of land mines; estimations show more than 160,000 square kilometers currently mined.

From February 24 to May 1, 2022, more than 80,000 mines had been already removed – the estimate is that it will take decades to de-mine Ukraine.

One minesweeper with three C batteries can be used all day long; 20 minesweepers can cover a lot of ground for years to come.

You Can Help: Minesweepers

We are partnering with anyone who can help! We’re working with a few EOD specialists, friends, and nonprofits doing work to remove mines in recently de-occupied areas.

$2,700/per each new minesweeper, $3,500 delivered to Ukraine (quoted by Vallon)

$400/ Restore UA recently picked up 20 Vallon VMC1 minesweepers from an individual willing to help, a gentleman who collects military surplus for resale and worked up a good price for us due to the cause.

If you know of an organization, or you individually are able to help supply minesweepers, contact us by clicking below.
